PEAK in Action
In blue-collar organizations, safety is often the railroad track leading to employee engagement. Ron Newton and PEAK staff have helped improve businesses that struggle with employee engagement issues.
IMPROVING LEADERSHIP in SAFETY BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT

When offshore service giant Tidewater Marine needed to improve the safety and crew management capabilities of 1,800 of its vessel officers and shore staff worldwide, PEAK created and delivered a comprehensive 4-day Vessel Officer Leadership Seminar.
The training course was delivered at all Tidewater U.S. and international operation areas (5 continents), using both English and Spanish. Participants received substantial credit toward completion of their U.S. Coast Guard STCW ’95 training certification requirement.
ENGAGING CROSS-GENERATIONALLY for HAZARD RECOGNITION

When The Manitowoc Company needed to improve the hazard recognition skills of its manufacturing supervisors, PEAK delivered an 8-hour training course that combined the elements of hazard recognition, behavior pattern recognition, and how to bridge generation gaps for better hazard communication.
IMPROVING SHIPYARD SAFETY BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT

Bollinger Shipyards needed to introduce a new safety management system to over 600 supervisors and lead men in both its newbuild and repair yard operations (14 total shipyards). It selected PEAK to create and deliver a 6-course (8 days) leadership training program that significantly improved the acceptance and application of the safety management system. The program welded together the pursuit of safety and production under the brand of SafeProduction.
PEAK clients represent 15 industry sectors that share a common challenge. They all experience employee pushback to company efforts aimed at improving EMPLOYEE and ORGANIZATIONAL ENGAGEMENT. Most of PEAK’s clients are BLUE-COLLAR businesses.
